For September we returned to one of our favorite restaurants, Red Mesa in St. Petersburg. This is the location on 4th Street. We haven’t been here for a few years. Almost a dozen people showed up for a delicious meal. So many delicious items on the menu that it was hard to decide our dinner choices.
We consumed a lot of chips and salsa as we mulled over the many dinber choices.
Many of us chose enchiladas. Some chose the enchilada trio which included a duck enchilada with raspberry chipotle cream sauce, a chicken enchilada with salsa roja and a crab & shrimp enchilada with poblana cream sauce. Kay got the duck enchiladas and three of us enjoyed the chicken enchiladas.
Jan tried the Chihuahua, which comes with a pork tamale with salsa roja, picadillo empanada with chile morita sauce, shredded beef taquito with guacamole and black bean sauce.
To wash it down we had some yummy sangria and margaritas and one beer.
Great evening with friends and good food.
